Auto Drip Coffee

Drip brewing can be great! When you do it right it can yield a clean and sweet cup. You will need to have a brewer that can brew at temperatures between 200-205F. This is not easy to accomplish as most brewers top out at a lower temperature. Look for the Specialty Coffee Association of America certification. These brewers all brew in the correct temperature range.

What You'll Need

An SCAA certified drip machine
Phillies Bridge Coffee (12-16 grams per 6 ounces of water)
A burr grinder (set to a medium grind)
Paper or metal mesh filter
High quality water
Scale

Preparation

Use boiling water to preheat your filter and decanting vessel. This will get your equipment up to temperature and take any paper flavors out of your filter.

Measure out your Phillies Bridge Coffee (between 12-16g of coffee for every 6 ounces of water).

Grind the coffee to a medium grind and place in the coffee filter.

After Brewing

Do not apply heat to your brewed coffee. We recommend keeping it in an insulated carafe until you are ready to sip and enjoy.
